The project reduces GHG emissions through the generation of electricity by wind, thus offsetting the generation of this electricity by fossil fuel sources. The opportunity for generating carbon offsets arises from the quantification of reductions in GHG emissions resulting from the implementation of facilities that convert the energy from wind into electrical energy as the end product.
