At the Project site biodiesel is produced using feedstocks such as yellow grease and beef tallow, sourced from various facilities in Southern Alberta. Inputs to the biodiesel production process include tallow or grease feedbstock, natural gas and electricity to operate the plant, diesel to operate material handling equipment and various chemicals and catalysts used in the chemical reactions or biodiesel purification processes. Outputs from the facility include finished biodiesel, a glycerine by-product, and solid and liquid waste products.
