The Orica plant site operates two Nitric Acid plants. The Nitrous Oxide Abatement Project consists of the installation of a dedicated secondary catalyst in Orica's Nitric Acid Plant 1 (NAP 1) below the precious metal catalyst gauze to abate the nitrous oxide (N2O).
