Modern Resources Waste Heat Recovery Offset Project

The purpose of this Project is to quantify Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reductions resulting from the installation of a waste heat recovery (WHR) system at a Modern Resources facility (07-09-062-08W6 Heat Medium WHR). The WHR system captures the exhaust heat from a compressor and uses it to heat a medium fluid (mineral oil, Petro-Therm) at the facility. This results in avoidance of fuel consumption by natural gas fired heaters that were previously the source of the heat supply and thereby resulting in emissions reductions.
