The Kettles Hill Lake Offset Project (the Project) converts Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) generated at the Kettles Hill Wind Farm, an EcoLogo certified facility, into offsets from 2007-2008. The GHG offsets generated by this project are quantified in accordance with Alberta Environment's Quantification Protocol for Wind Powered Electricity Generation. MWh of generation available for offset conversions are the net MWh available after reductions for on-site load and commercial and residential sales. Only eligible MWhs have been converted to offsets. Unsold or otherwise unallocated inventories of RECs from teh Facility during 2007-2008 are converted to offsets at the Emissions Intensity Factor of 0.65 tonnes of CO2/MWh, as set out in Alberta Environment's Project Guidance Document.
