Bonavista Acid Gas Injection at South Rosevear

During the period of 2007-2009, this project was registered as Suncor South Rosevear Acid Gas Injection Project and was brought forward by Suncor Energy Oil and Gas Partnership represented by BlueSource Canada ULC, Yvan Champagne. Please refer to 2007-2009 Project Documentation for contact information. Bonavista Energy has continued operation of an existing acid gas injection process at its South Rosevear sour gas plant. The process reduces the GHG emissions at the facility from the operation of a sulphur recovery unit and related tail gas incineration in the baseline condition. In addition, the CO2 that would otherwise been vented to atmosphere is re-injected into a well defined geological formation (Beaverhill Lake B Pool) resulting in permanent sequestration.
