Alberta REMVue Engine Fuel Management and Vent Gas Capture Aggregation Project
1090-6410
The project objective is two-fold: 1) To increase the fuel efficiency and thus reduce combustion emissions attributed to the operation of both lean burn and rich burn engines, and; 2) To capture otherwise vented emissions from engine packing, casing, etc and use as a fuel. The greenhouse gas reductions will be achieved through the retrofit installation of various engine fuel management technologies on existing or new engine units within Alberta. This can include engine modification in the form of air:fuel ratio (AFR) control, vent gas capture systems and other features to improve engine start performance such as improved spark plug design.
